2. Information Heave Handles
Heave handles information you choose to provide so the app can log and analyze your training. This may include:
- Workout data such as exercise names, sets, repetitions, weights, workout dates, workout names, and workout plans.
- Body-weight entries, app settings, reminder settings, unit preferences, and onboarding choices.
- Free-text training notes and exercise names sent to AI features for parsing, workout naming, alternatives, or muscle analysis.
- Purchase and entitlement status needed to provide paid app features.
- Messages and email addresses you provide when you contact support.
This website may also involve basic technical request data needed to deliver pages, protect the service, and load website assets. Heave does not use analytics or advertising cookies on this website.
3. How Information Is Used
Heave uses information to:
- Provide workout logging, history, plans, and insights.
- Convert training notes into structured workout data and improve the usefulness of AI-assisted app features.
- Sync app data where iCloud sync is available.
- Validate purchases and access to paid features.
- Secure remote requests, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and respond to support messages.
4. Storage And Processing
Workout data is stored on your device. When iCloud sync is available for your device and Apple account, Heave may sync workouts and selected settings through your private iCloud storage.
AI features can use local processing or online processing depending on the feature, network state, and device capability. When online AI processing is used, Heave sends the text and context needed for that request through its backend to AI service providers so they can return a result. Do not enter information into training notes that you do not want processed for that purpose.
Heave also stores app-integrity and request-protection data needed for App Attest verification and rate limiting of remote AI requests.
5. Service Providers
Heave may share only the information needed for a provider to perform its role:
- Apple for App Store purchases, device services, and iCloud sync that you use.
- RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement handling.
- Convex, OpenRouter, and model providers involved in remote AI request delivery and responses.
- Website hosting, asset delivery, and email providers used to operate the website and support contact.
Heave does not sell your workout data or use it for third-party advertising.
6. Retention And Control
Workout data remains on your device and, where applicable, in your iCloud storage until you delete it or remove it through the services that store it. Support emails are kept as long as needed to answer and document the request. Security and provider records are retained as needed to operate, secure, and document the relevant service.
You can delete app entries in Heave and manage iCloud data through Apple services available to your account.
7. Legal Bases And Rights
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, Heave processes data as needed to provide requested app features and purchases, comply with applicable obligations, and protect legitimate interests such as service security and support.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability for personal data. Contact Heave using the email address above to make a request.
8. Children
Heave is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated when Heave changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
